ABOUT
Ravenna Westerhout (1994) is a Dutch-Hungarian architect and researcher. She earned her Masters in Architecture with honors from TU Delft in 2018. A driven, creative and analytical thinker who thrives in interdisciplinary, cross-cultural settings, with people that challenge (her) existing thoughts and ideas. Passionate about investigating the role of architecture concerning societal change, she pursues research-based design and explores the boundaries of the architecture field.
In her work, she uses the cross-practice of architecture, research and art as a device to challenge dominant narratives and co-create more inclusive and resilient futures. Her diverse portfolio spans exhibitions, public programmes, books, publications, films, research projects, and more, always created in a collective process with local actors. Her interests include society, the role of the architect, (new) ways of doing, (un-) war conditions, history, ecology, transcultural studies, cross-media practices and storytelling.
