“THE UNSEEN”
What future atmospheres can we bring to life by revealing unseen scenarios?
WHY?
The aim is to reveal hidden future possibilities able to enhance the quality of Muide.
By combining our own fascinations with a conscious analysis of the existing; relations and elements are re-interpreted in order to open new possibilities.
WHAT?
Atmosphere is not only defined by the tangible elements of the material reality, but also from
the intangible sensitivities and unseen stories behind them, brought together by our mind and senses. The common theme of our investigations is the translation of the unseen into an architectural dimension.
HOW?
By using design tools to decompose reality and bring it back together in alternate scenarios.
Our outset was to picture the island photographing cross walking sections, that provide the bases for a deeper understanding of atmosphere. Starting from the mere objective reality, all this data was brought together in a matrix, allowing to relate all the elements in one tool.
Subsequently, we immersed ourselves in the matrix and extracted two outcomes: ·The narratives, structured in triptychs, translate the intangible connection between elements,
brought together by an intuitive interpretation. ·The sections, constructed by arranging the pictures of the matrix and the fascination behind
the narratives, aim to synthesize the existing with our personal imagination.
The narratives and sections are used as design tools, the two combined allow us to picture future architectural scenarios that would generate new atmospheres.
This project was created in cooperation with Marina Bonet, Veronica Cristofoletti and Matteo Andrenelli.
